Weeding Fork?
Jennifer Asked:
I moved house this year and the front and back lawns where full of moss, daisies, buttercups and other weeds. I have gotten rid of the moss and have had some success with grass seeds but for next spring I would like to begin the preparation for the perfect lawn without buying a new one (I have spent to much time weeding fork, raking to give in) Please help I have never had to garden before.

Ahhh... better living through chemistry, lol! There are quite a few spray weeding fork killers out there but WATER is going to be the key. Weeds can grow in the slimmest of conditions and will take bigger advantage of small amounts of water/nutrients than grass can... that's why they are such persistent little bastards. Watering grass just a little will actually be more damaging as it brings the grass roots closer to the surface to grab that water and then the sun will "cook" them. Neighbors lawns are a big concern in getting weeds OUT of your lawn... if they have them, you will to so have a chat with your immediate neighbors about their lawns. Cutting your grass too short also gives weeds an added ability as they will get more sunlight to get started...
Thus... cut your grass to 3-4 inches height, spray for weeds using the type of killer that hooks directly to your hose when at least 2 days of no rain is coming, water once a week minimum during a drought if possible in the morning as watering at night may lead to fungus and moss growth, pick up a cheap pH kit at your local lawn and garden center as well as a good fertilizer high in nitrogen (30-20-20 on the bag represents Nitrogen-phosphorus-potassium in that order) and most importantly... water thoroughly... not a little today and more tomorrow. This will get ya started.

I think your maybe from the states but to be honest i am having the exact same problem here in the UK with my college. I have decided to withdraw from course because it is not doing me any favours as far as causing me health problems. I think you should maybe look into other places to study – or e ven a different course. It sounds like they are trying to weed people out – my college is doing that. You could either launch a formal complaint – or look for another course in time being. Maybe even talk to a personal tutor.
a bit violent but great with words. maybe full marks.
Rake your lawn thoroughly and then over seed with your grass of choice. Treat like a new lawn and watter daily till established. Its best to do this in the spring of fall. If it rains that day then of course don't watter also.
The amount you should spend on a gift is one of those gray areas that vary based on the wedding location and your budget. Some people or web pages have stated that the cost of a wedding gift should equal the cost of the guest’s meal. Some people use this guideline, even it is a rumor, etiquette books state that the gift giver can give whatever he/she chooses, no matter what the couple spent on dinner. Whether ten or one thousand dollars is spent on a gift, the bride and groom should accept it graciously and appreciate the thought.
This wedding doesn't sound formal so…so be creative and have fun!!! If they are having a beach BBQ get them some good hot sauce or BBQ sauce from Sticker Fingers they sell it at Food Lion, you don't have to go the restaurant and nice set of grilling utensils. You can get a nice set at bed bath & beyond for under $20, there are always coupons in the paper for 15% off. Put a note in the with the wrapped gift that says: To a hot couple! Even if it isn't the most expensive gift they got, for years they will remember your creativity!
Well, first of all i think its awesome that you're going to rehab, that is a big step in solving your problems. If i were in your situation i would sit down and decide what i needed to change, set some goals and decide how i was going to achieve these goals, then i would sit down and talk with my parents, tell them exactly how you feel, that you're sorry for putting them through this and that right now you really need their love and support, ask them to be patient with you and tell them that you really want to change. If they still aren't supportive then find someone you can trust and tell them how you feel and ask them to help you through this. I know this probably sounds cheesy but also if you accept Jesus into your life, he will totally change your life. He will be there for you and he won't yell at you. He'll forgive you no matter if you mess up a million more times, if you're truly sorry. He is the best friend i've ever had and i just hope if you havent already, you'll find this out for yourself. Good luck with rehab and getting back on track. I'll be praying for you. I'm so proud of you and i truly believe you can do this!!

O.o
I stick weeding fork in and fuss at the ground going "Wolk Wolk Wollk Wolk" (after my own fashion) Barred Rock right on my tail!

what if you just put some cardboard on top of the weeds?
I'm sorry to say this, but I wouldn't spend much at all. How did you end up spending $400 for bachelorette parties for one woman? I could chalk it up to mismanaging your money, but then the fact that they're asking guests to pay for their honeymoon after having to travel, it's too much. I think you should spend WHAT YOU CAN AFFORD, and no more on a nice gift that you think they can use. The great thing about gift giving is that it can be whatever you want (including nothing). The mere fact that you went through all that for her should be gift enough. Even if a couple has a registry, it's not a requirement, just a suggestion.
I felt soo bad for Bobby and Pam having to find out on their wedding day that Jenna is pregnant with Bobby’s baby.

It means to divide the milk into 2 parts. Use 1 1/2 cups for the white sauce and enough to make it easy to puree the potatoes. Then add what is left to the the soup with the rest of the ingredients.
