What color, insecticide and fertilizers add to the pruning gardens crushed to use it like cover in gardens?
Kenny Asked:
I want to take advantage of the remainders of pruning gardens, and to turn it in to covers of different colors for flowerpots and gardens in general. Crushing everything and to add the necessary colorants, insecticides and fertilizers. what products would I have to add for its better results.
thanks

Dry it first. Then use regular vegetable dye. Your ordinary insecticides and fertilizer you use for the flowers and garden plants will suffice, and the mulch will prevent evaporation and runoff. Depending on the mulch, you may need to measure ph every year, or estimate adding just a little bit of lime.

Parks & Gardens Review: Bahco 396-JS folding (pruning) saw – Product Review
thank you very much, short & simple.
Bypass pruners are the best, but gotta whip out the shears witht he boxwoods. i like to cut out the top part of a holly below the lateral branches.. to hide the hard pruning. Directing growth is the key. But it think a natural boxwood looks better than a pruned on. Plant a dwarf boxwood ifso u dont have to shear every year
Who is this super-trimmer? Never seen anyone who could trim so fast!

Price can vary greatly, largely depending on the size of the tree, the risk involved and the equipment and labour needed for the job. For example, are there any overhead powerlines nearby? How close is the nearest property? Is there a public road or footpath nearby? How much waste is going to be generated? What is access to the tree like? Is Platform Access necessary? Does it need a climber?
Just to give you an idea, I've heard genuine quotes for removals of complete trees range from £10000 to £400 and a recent bill for taking a large limb off an oak came to £340.
The best thing to do is just get a few quotes off different companies, (make sure they're insured too)!
Cutting at an angle.. an inverted V shape (^)… (so that they're 6 inches tall) is recommended when you're transplanting or need to cut down on excessive foliage. This allows the Iris to have some air circulating around it & lets the rhizome get more sun to dry out, which helps prevent disease & rot. It'll also make it easier for you to spot & eliminate any critters that might start to do damage.
Here's some pictures of how they're pruned on an (^) angle. Notice how the shape of the angle allows water to drain off quickly:

You can prune the foliage when you're preparing the plants for digging and transplanting & if you need to remove diseased foliage, or if the foliage is over-grown… however, Iris foliage doesn't need to be pruned back each year, & a reasonable amount of foliage is needed to build up food reserves for flowering the next spring.
BTW, you should cut off the stem that has finished flowering at the base, since it's no longer productive & isn't useful or helpful for the plant.
Good luck!!! Hope this is helpful.
Thanks that really helped me.
Pruning Workshop by Dr. Frank Gouin, Jefferson Patterson Park and Museum Patterson Gardens, April 10, 10 am. Bring hand tools to try it.
There are pruning shears that easily cut branches that size , you just need to buy better pruning shears. Go to your local home improvement store and get acquainted with the yard tools aisle.
It probably as pruned correctly. The job needs done before the sap starts running and if you are in the US it should have been done already
