Mandy Asked:
Whats a good garden fork to use when you have a bad back? Ive been told there’s one on the market for around a £100, whats it called and where can i get one?
Reply:
there are a variety of tools which will be suitable for you to try
there is a spade that has a pedal on the side you push spade in foot down on pedal it turns it over for you, i cant remember where i saw it i think you will find it in one of the gardeners world magazines.
the alternative is tools with long handles which help you do less back bending.also in many diy stores theres a claw with vertical handle this may work for you!
this is one contact i have found with these tools they might be what you are looking for certainly not £100.
Jennifer Asked:
I moved house this year and the front and back lawns where full of moss, daisies, buttercups and other weeds. I have gotten rid of the moss and have had some success with grass seeds but for next spring I would like to begin the preparation for the perfect lawn without buying a new one (I have spent to much time weeding fork, raking to give in) Please help I have never had to garden before.

Susan Asked:
What are needed to cut stainless steel hand tools?
Reply:
Bi-metal hacksaw, tungsten blade hacksaw, Ideally anything harder than stainless steel hand tools, to finish it I would recommend a very good file than sand paper. There might be some type of cutting fluid to help you cut but I’m not too sure.
Jayson Asked:
A plant sale sold a mulit-used garden tools but sold out quickly. Does anyone have a favorite? This was an unusual looking tool with a claw and had a sharp side to cut also. It was $15.00. I have tried calling the plant sale and they don’t remember the name and I have done a internet search with no luck.

I like my hori hori, it’s useful for digging, sawing and cutting. Works great for planting bulbs. Here a link to show you:
